Leif Sieben is in his second undergraduate year studying physical and biological chemistry at ETH Zurich. He loves all things science. In his free time, he sometimes shoots indie movies, is a member of an English debate club in Zurich and plays piano in a jazz band. Surprisingly, despite four semesters of lab work, he is still a hopelessly bad chef.

Shamiso Chikoto is a 12th grade international school of basel student. she moved from South Africa 5 years ago and is Zimbabwean by nationality. She began a social justice group operating in ISB that advocates for all marginalized groups, such as the black community, the disabled community, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone who may lack a voice and faces discrimination. In her free time, she enjoys running and long walks.

Colin Daines is a 12th grade student at the Zurich International School and has lived in Switzerland for 5 years. He is a jazz enthusiast and aspiring neuroscientist. In addition to exploring the human brain's perception of music, Colin more broadly loves to study, listen to, and perform jazz. He is inspired by improvisation - his favourite form of self-expression.

Aksel Paul is high school student in his last year interested in studying physics and philosophy in university. He has lived in Switzerland for five years and is originally from Finland and enjoys skiing, mountain biking, and ice hockey. Despite his interest in science, he has long pursued art, from music production to creating a visual art portfolio. Above all, creative writing is the art Aksel loves most; keeping a poetry journal for two years, running a book club, and organising poetry slams at Zürich International School.

Tara Waudby Passionate about future-ready schools, Tara believes compassion elevates innovation. She advocates for schools as centers of creativity, joy, and human flourishing. Tara began her teaching career in Phoenix, Arizona before moving into international education, Teaching in Taiwan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Switzerland.  She holds an MA in Educational Leadership, an MFA in Poetry, and a graduate certificate in educational technology.  She currently serves as Middle School Principal at International School Basel and is pursuing her PhD in education for social justice. 

Carmit Natan is a soprano singer who specialised in early music. She started singing at a very young age in a professional children’s choir. Her diverse interests led her to study BA and MA in Biology, but music was always her real passion. Following her heart, she went to complete two more degrees in singing and ever since she has been singing on the best stages in Europe. For the last ten years, she lives, sings, and dreams from Basel, and fulfils some dreams that she didn’t even know she had.

Andras Perjesi is a 12 year-old 6th Grader at the Swiss International School Basel. His favourite hobbies are swimming and trying to solve hard maths problems. He also does Aikido in his free time. Andras has spent 2 years studying complex maths and has already achieved multiple impressive results in competitions such as the Math Olympiads and Math Kangaroo.
