Kelly Baader

Kelly is a Digital Sales and Marketing Strategist and Certified Business Coach mentoring emerging entrepreneurs. Kelly had to overcome insurmountable odds since her childhood to achieve the success she enjoys today.  That includes surviving from sexual abuse at her teens for over a decade, to countless rejections in the entrepreneurial journey because of her accent.  Kelly has coached and consulted purpose-driven entrepreneurs and organization leaders to design profitable businesses that make impactful changes.

 

Simona Scarpaleggia

Simona is the Head of the global initiative “Future of our Work” at the world’s largest IKEA franchisee INGKA Group. From 2010 until 2019, she was the CEO of IKEA Switzerland, where she oversaw strategy and operations with a total turnover of more than 1.1bn CHF. She is a passionate campaigner for all issues surrounding women’s empowerment and  co-chaired the UN High-Level Panel on Women's Economic Empowerment.

 

Helena Seth-Smith

Helena revels in her daily job of analyzing bacterial genomes, with a view to better understanding pathogens both evolutionarily and within a hospital context. During her PhD at the University of Cambridge, she identified bacterial genes which break down explosives, for bioremediation. Later at the University of Zurich she characterized uncultured fish pathogens. Now at the University Hospital of Basel, she answers questions relating to emerging pathogens, outbreaks and transmission.

 

Christian von Wartburg

Dr. Christian von Wartburg is a lawyer specialized in Criminal Defense. He studied Law in Geneva, Basel and St. Gallen graduated with a doctorate degree. He is a Member of the Great Council of Basel for the Social Democratic Party. Currently he presides the parliamentary Audit Commission, which supervises the local Government. He also holds a teaching position at the University of Berne for Criminal Aspects of the Swiss Narcotics Act and is Vice-President of the trinational Conseil Rhénan. Outside of work he is a happy Patchwork-Family man and enjoys to spend Time in the Swiss Alps.

 

Jessica Zuber

Jessica is a political scientist, campaign manager, consultant and civil rights activist. She is responsible for the project “Helvetia is calling”, at alliance F,  which focuses on empowering women to run for political office and thereby elevating the number of women in Swiss politics.
